IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA CIVIL ORIGINAL JURISDICTION TRANSFER PETITION (CIVIL) NO. 823 OF 2004 GURPREET ROHIT VERMA ... PETITIONER(S) :VERSUS: ROHIT VEDPAL VERMA ... RESPONDENT(S) O R D E R The parties hereto have arrived at a settlement. A Memorandum of Settlement has been filed by the parties which is taken on record and accepted. An application for dissolution of marriage by mutual consent has also been filed by the parties. As prayed for by the learned counsel for the parties, we in exercise of our jurisdiction under Article 142 of the Constitution of India direct that a decree for dissolution of marriage, by mutual consent, in terms of Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 is passed. Let a formal decree be drawn by the Family Court at Bandra, Mumbai. -2- Mr. Upadhyay, learned counsel for the respondent states that in terms of paragraph 7 of the settlement, all the requisite documents, including a demand draft for Rs.3,00,000/- drawn in favour of the petitioner and two original letters in the handwriting of the petitioner, have been handed over to Mr. Sunil Kumar Jain, learned counsel for the petitioner, the receipt whereof is admitted and acknowledged.
