Leave granted.
Having heard the learned counsel for the
parties and after going through the averments made in the
application for condonation of delay filed before the High
Court and the impugned orders passed, we are of the view
that sufficient cause was shown by the appellant for the
condonation of delay in filing the appeal before the High
Court. Accordingly, the impunged order is set aside, said
application for condonation of delay is allowed and the
writ appeal is restored to its original number subject to
payment of cost of Rs.20,000/- to the respondents within a
period of one month from this date. However, in default of
payment of aforesaid costs within the stipulated period, the
application for condonation of delay shall stand rejected
and the writ appeal shall also stand dismissed.
This appeal is disposed of with no order as
to costs.
