1. Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in FIR No.331/2017 under
Section 419/420/468/471/34 IPC, Police Station Govind Puri.
2. As per the allegation in the FIR, 4 – 5 persons entered the house
of the complainant and stated that they were BSES employees and on
the false pretext of tampering of electricity meter started demanding
money for settling the matter. The complainant is alleged to have paid
Rs.12,000/-. While the persons were going away, the complainant
found that they were impersonating as BSES employees. On being
escorted, two were apprehended from the spot and remaining fled
away.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner
has been falsely implicated as there is nothing to connect the
petitioner with the subject offence.
4. By order dated 01.08.2018 petitioner was granted interim
protection subject to joining investigation.
5. Learned APP under instructions from the Investigating Officer
submits that the petitioner did join investigation and investigation is
nearly concluded.
6. Without commenting on the merits of the case, and on perusal
of the records, I am satisfied that the petitioner has made out a case
for grant of anticipatory bail.
7. Accordingly, it is directed that in the event of arrest, the
arresting officer/IO/SHO shall release the petitioner on bail on his
furnishing a bail bond in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- with one surety of
the like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting officer/Investigating
Officer/SHO concerned. Petitioner shall not do anything that may
prejudice either the trial or the prosecution witnesses.
8. The petition is disposed of in the above terms.
