1. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking following
relief(s):
“10.1. A Writ in the nature of Mandamus kindly be
issued commanding the Respondent No. 3 (Station
House Officer, Police Station Civil Lines, Raipur) to
immediately register a First Information Report
(FIR) against Respondent No. 4 to 25 based on the
written complaints dated 20.07.2026 and
11.08.2026 under the appropriate penal provisions
of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
10.2. Any other consequential relief, writ, or
direction that this Hon'ble Court deems fit and
proper in the facts and circumstances of the case,
including the cost of litigation, may also be
graciously granted in favor of the Petitioner.
10.3. That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be
pleased to direct the competent authority to initiate
appropriate departmental and/or other legal
proceedings, in accordance with law, against the
concerned police officer(s)/personal respondent(s)
responsible for the failure to take appropriate action

on the petitioners' complaints and representations
seeking registration of an FIR, and to take a
decision regarding their accountability for such
omission, in the interest of justice.”
2. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks
permission of this Court to withdraw the present petition with liberty to
take recourse available to him under Sections 175 and 223 of
Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (for short ‘BNSS’).
3. The prayer is allowed .
4. Accordingly, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with the
liberty as prayed for.
