ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.)
Writ of mandamus has been instituted to quash the impugned
nd
notice of the 2 respondent in Na.Ka.No.A1/2358/2025 dated
17.08.2026 and consequently restraining the respondents from
demolishing the compound wall and barbed wire fence in S.No.688/4 (if
at all) in Kadambuliyur Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District except
by due process of law.
2. It is brought to the notice of this Court that impugned order
directing the petitioner to remove the encroachment was issued by the
Revenue Tahsildar on 17.08.2026. However, petitioner preferred an
appeal under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act,
1905 on 18.08.2026. The said appeal is pending before the District
Collector.
3. That being the factum, all further action shall be initiated after
disposal of Section 10 appeal by the District Collector. District Collector
is directed to conduct an enquiry by affording opportunities to the parties
and dispose of the appeal on merits and in accordance with law as
expeditiously as possible.

4. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No
costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are
