the issue in OA No. 957 of 2023 and batch matters. The
applicant herein is seeking the same relief as in OA No. 957 of
2023 and batch matters. This Tribunal has already disposed of
O.A. 957/2023 and batch matters vide its order dated
17.04.2026 holding as under:-
“65. In view of our observations in the foregoing paragraphs,
we feel that it would be appropriate for the Government in
Department of Revenue to pass an order granting scale of
pay of Rs.6500-10500/- to Inspectors and Rs.7500-12000/-
to Superintendents notionally with effect from 01.01.1996 so
as to give quietus to the issue and avoid large scale
unwarranted litigation by affected parties approaching the
Tribunals for obtaining the financial benefits ‘in personam’
basis and that uniformity is accomplished in granting such
benefits and consequential benefits including pension to all
similarly placed employees.
66. Accordingly, we direct the Respondent No.2 i.e.
Department of Revenue in the Ministry of Finance to issue
appropriate orders refixing the pay of Inspectors in the scale
4 OA 310/01104/2026
of Rs.6500-10500/- and for Superintendents in the scale of
pay of Rs.7500-12000/- notionally w.e.f. 01.01.1996 and
actually w.e.f., 21.04.2004 with all consequential benefits
including pension within a period of two months from the
date of receipt of copy of this order.
67. The OA is accordingly disposed of as above. Pending
MAs, if any, stand disposed of. No order as to costs.”
4. Accordingly, this OA is also disposed of on the same lines
as in OA No. 957 of 2023 and batch matters. No order as to
costs.
