ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam, J.)
Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents 1
to 4 to remove the encroachment made in S.Nos.99, 101, 102 and 133
of Puthirampattu Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District by
considering petitioner’s representations dated 17.03.2025 submitted to
th
the respondents 1 to 3 and 17.02.2025 submitted to the 4 respondent.
2.The learned Additional Government Pleader based on the written
instructions given by Revenue Tahsildar, would submit that the revenue
authorities conducted survey, identified the encroachment and issued
Form-I notice to the Block Development Officer for initiation of
enforcement action.

3.In view of the said factum, the Tahsildar as well as the Block
Development Officer are directed to initiate enforcement action for
removal of encroachment from the water body by following the
procedures as contemplated under the relevant statutes and rules in
force. The entire exercise is directed to be completed within a period of
twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With these directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No
costs.
