Gujarat Lifts and Escalators Act, 2000

For Statement of Objects and Reasons, See Gujarat Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part-V, dated the 22nd February, 2000, p. 4-10. This Act was assented to by the Governor on the 14th March, 2000. An Act to consolidate law relating to regulation of the construction, maintenance and safe operating of lifts and escalators and the machinery and apparatus pertaining thereto in the State of Gujarat. It is enacted in the Fifty-first year of the Republic of India as follows:-
