Preamble to the Act. - Whereas, the Government of Jharkhand consider that supply of rental housing stock in the State is not commensurate with the demand, And Whereas the return from investment in rental housing is low, And Whereas the relationship between the landlord and the tenant is contentious And Whereas the ligation under Rent Control Act is unduly delayed Now, Therefore An Act to provide for the regulation of letting of the buildings and the rent of such buildings, and to establish better balance between the interests of landlord and tenant, and to lessen the hardships in the litigations and for matters ancillary thereto Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Jharkhand in the Sixty-second year of the Constitution of India as follows: - CHAPTER - 1 Preliminary
