Bombay Diseases of Animals Act, 1948

This Act was extended to that part of the State of Maharashtra to which immediately before the commencement of Maharashtra 3 of 1960, it did not extend (vide Maharashtra 8 of 1960 section 2) For Statement of objects and Reasons see Bombay Government Gazette, 1948 Part 5, Page 475. An Act to provide [the eradication, prevention and control of diseases] [These words were substituted for the words 'the prevention and control of contagious diseases' by Maharashtra 3 of 1960, Section 3 and 4.] affecting animals.
