Maharashtra Motor Vehicles (Taxation of Passengers) Act

[An Act to provide for levy of a tax on passengers carried by road in stage carriages in the State] [This long title was substituted by Maharashtra 9 of 1989, Section 7.] Whereas, it is expedient to provide for the levy of a tax on passengers, [carried by road, [in stage carriages] [These words were substituted and shall be deemed always to have been substituted for the words 'carried in certain classes of public service vehicles in the State of Bombay by Maharashtra 4 of 1982 Section 3.] in the State] It is hereby enacted in the Ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
