Assent of the President was published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 28th December. 1981. An Act to amend and consolidate the law relating to the municipal affairs of Calcutta. Whereas it is expedient to amend and consolidate, in the manner hereinafter appearing, the law relating to the municipal affairs of Calcutta; It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-first Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows :-
