Gangasagar Mela Act, 1976

Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 26th March, 1976. An Act to provide for the taking of measures with a view to safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of the pilgrims attending the Gangasagar Mela. Whereas it is expedient in the public interest to provide for the taking of measures with a view to safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of the pilgrims attending the Gangasagar Mela and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto; It is hereby enacted as follows:-
