Kanyashree University Act, 2018

An Act to provide for constitution and incorporation of the Kanyashree University in the State of West Bengal and for certain matters incidental thereto and connected therewith. Whereas it is expedient to establish and incorporate a State-aided women University by the name of the Kanyashree University with the view to provide higher education amongst women with special emphasis to the women known as "Kanyashree" and to establish a Centre of Excellence devoted to the teaching, learning and research in various branches of studies including Humanities, Social and Basic Sciences, management studies and promoting advancement and dissemination of knowledge and learning, and extending higher education, to meet the requirements of higher education and research in the subjects and to serve the society and the nation; It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:-
