Assent of the president first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary. dated 5th January, 1976. An Act to provide for the acquisition of land in rural areas on which homestead has been constructed by any person being and agricultural labourer, an artisan or a fisherman and conferment of title to such land in favour of such person. Whereas it is expedient to provide for the acquisition of land in rural areas on which homestead has been constructed by any person being an agricultural labourer or an artisan or a fisherman and conferment of title to such land in favour of such person; It is hereby enacted as follows:-
