Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 17th May, 1974. An Act to provide for compulsory censorship of publicity materials relating to films. Whereas it is expedient to provide for compulsory censorship of publicity materials relating to films; It is hereby enacted as follows:-
