West Bengal Irrigation ( Imposition Of Water Rate ) Act, 1974

Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 11th December, 1974. An Act to provide for the imposition of water rate in areas where water supplied from irrigation works executed, maintained or controlled by the State Government is available for irrigation and for certain matters ancillary thereto and connected therewith. Whereas it is expedient to provide for the imposition of water rate in areas where water supplied from irrigation works executed, maintained or controlled by the State Government is available for irrigation and for certain matters ancillary thereto and connected therewith; It is hereby enacted as follows :-
