¶ 7It therefore upheld both convictions.
¶ 7On sentence, it considered the appellant’s submissions regarding the period of custody and the absence of a fracture to Guddi Bai, and concluded that the ends of justice would be met by reducing imprisonment to the period already undergone while enhancing the fines
¶ 4, 8–905Holding
The appeal was disposed of with the convictions under Sections 323 and 307 IPC affirmed
¶ 9, 13The imprisonment was reduced to the period already undergone; the fine under Section 323 IPC was increased from ₹500 to ₹1,000 and the fine under Section 307 IPC from ₹1,000 to ₹10,000, for a total fine of ₹11,000
